The event
The University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard (UTBM) in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Transportation Electrification Initiative (TEI), and IEEE’s Vehicle Technology Society (VTS) French chapter are hosting a Distinguished Lecturer Series event focused on two critically important domains of transportation electrification research and development in Europe: infrastructure (V2V, V2G, V2I communications) and powertrain (EV, PHEV, FCV).
The lectures
The event will feature speakers from across the European Continent and include noted scholars, practitioners, and Distinguished Lecturers from academia, industry, and the IEEE. The seminar will look at different challenges and opportunities for both infrastructure and powertrain domains, and at how European policies support the development of those technologies throughout the European Union (EU). Speakers will cover a broad set of topics related to:
- Cooperative Vehicle to Vehicle and Vehicle to Infrastructure Wireless Communications,
- Vehicle to Smart Grid Integration,
- Public Railway Transportation Optimization,
- Development of Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle technologies (FCV).
